Dawn of a new season...

As the dawn of another season is upon us, I thought I would like to provide a few pointers that will lead you to individual success during your upcoming season.

Keys to Success:

1) You've spent the offseason preparing for this opportunity. Don't be afraid to show your new skillset.

Indvidual Sessions

As the regular season winds down and the players begin to look at the tryout schedules for AAU, I wanted to remind you that we are still holding our Saturday evening sessions from 6-7:30pm at St. Joseph’s in Herndon. Throughout the course of the season, certain aspects of a player’s game may begin to atrophy. Team practices, especially in preparation for post season tournaments, tend to focus on team play rather than individual skills. That is the role of the coach…to prepare the TEAM as best he/she can for each and
every game. The job of each player is to make sure he/she is doing the appropriate extra work away from the team to continue to improve their skills. Our Saturday sessions are an excellent way to work on aspects of the game that need improvement. AAU tryouts are right around the corner and no player wants to head into them feeling like some part of his/her game is lacking. Remember, the more work you put into the game, the better prepared
